2024 Chapter Excellence Award-Silver Level Winner - British Columbia, Ontario, Prairie Provinces and Quebec Chapters
(August 2024) We are pleased to announce that our chapter is in receipt of the Silver Level of the 2024 Chapter Excellence Award! This year 15 chapters received the Silver Award. The award recognizes chapters that achieve excellence in chapter management. In order to achieve the Chapter Excellence Award, chapters must meet 20 Bronze criteria and 14 Silver criteria. Criteria include such activities as undertaking efforts to increase advocacy efforts, collaborating with stakeholders to increase visibility of the 바카라 사리트, holding competitions for members, providing chapter financial reports to members, having Medical Student and Resident/Fellow members on the Governor's Advisory council, retaining transitional and unpaid members, giving awards to chapter members. We would like to extend a special thanks to those chapter members who assisted us in all of these endeavors! For their hard work and dedication, we received this award.

(July 2024) Are you concerned about a practice or clinical issue or have an idea you would like to suggest? If so, you might consider submitting a resolution to your Governor or chapter council.
Initiating a resolution provides 바카라 사리트 members an opportunity to focus attention at the 바카라 사리트 national level on a particular issue or topic that concerns them. Participating in the Board of Governors resolutions process provides the 바카라 사리트 grassroots member a voice and allows you to shape College policy that impacts the practice of internal medicine.
Not sure how to begin drafting a resolution? Researching the College's position on an issue can give you a start. The 바카라 사리트 Board of Governors Resolutions Guide for 바카라 사리트 Members is available to download and will help, too. The Guide was created to provide members a short overview of the resolutions process essentials and highlights critical 바카라 사리트 online resources you must use.
Once drafted, members must submit resolutions to their Governor and/or chapter council. Chapter council approval is required to move resolutions forward to 바카라 사리트 national. Although not official 바카라 사리트 policy, a resolution becomes property of the chapter once the chapter council approves forwarding it to national. If effecting change interests you, the deadline for submitting new resolutions to be heard at the Spring 2025 Board of Governors Meeting is September 27, 2024.

2024 John Tooker Evergreen Awards
(April 2024) The John Tooker Evergreen Awards Program provides opportunities to recognize the valuable contributions of 바카라 사리트 Chapters as they strive to enrich, educate, and engage membership. In 2024, 바카라 사리트 recognized ten winning chapters. Our Chapter received the 2024 John Tooker Evergreen Award for our initiative, Laureate Society Fellowship Program .
Point-of-Care Ultrasound Webinar Series
The point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) webinar series was created to increase the availability of quality, desired, educational offerings for our Chapter. A POCUS Education Council was appointed to guide this work, which in-turn provided unique leadership opportunities for diverse early career physicians and trainees. The webinars occurred monthly to address diverse aspects of POCUS and bring in internationally known speakers to the forum. It has also helped the province unite in preparation for our merger with Manitoba and Saskatchewan, at which time, POCUS and educational experts in those provinces will be invited to join in this work.

(February 2024) Twenty-one (21) resolutions will be considered at the Spring 2024 Board of Governors (BOG) Meeting. With the exception of Resolution 9-S24, which will not be debated because this resolution is slated for adoption as a reaffirmation, please review each resolution and then indicate your support or opposition by completing the by the deadline your 바카라 사리트 Chapter Governor has requested or by midnight March 13, whichever comes first.

We are pleased to announce that our chapters are in receipt of the Bronze Level of the 2023 Chapter Excellence Award! The award recognizes chapters that achieve basics in chapter management. In order to achieve the Chapter Excellence Award, chapters must meet nineteen Bronze criteria. Criteria include such activities as being involved in advocacy activities, communicating with members, having a chapter/regional scientific meeting along with a planning committee, having a sound financial structure in place, recruiting and advancing members and having an awards committee that identifies candidates for local or national awards.

Important Notice Regarding Alberta and Manitoba/Saskatchewan Chapter Merger
(October 2022) We take this opportunity to thank you for being a loyal 바카라 사리트 member. This has been a busy year for our initiatives; among others, we undertook a thorough assessment of the 바카라 사리트 Canadian Chapters and held several meetings with 바카라 사리트 leadership. As a result, we would like to inform you that the 바카라 사리트 Board of Regents (BOR) approved a recommendation to merge the Alberta and Manitoba/Saskatchewan Chapters effective April 30, 2024.
Alberta Chapter Governor-elect, Dr. Irene Ma, will serve as Governor for the Alberta/Manitoba/Saskatchewan region at that time. The College will continue to collaborate with a local working group comprised of chapter leadership from both Alberta and Manitoba/Saskatchewan Chapters to ensure a smooth transition that benefits all members in the region. If you are interested in supporting our efforts, please contact ccacp@secretariatcentral.com. Membership will receive periodic updates on the merger and will soon be invited to participate in a poll to decide on he new chapter name.
Your membership will not be affected by the chapter merger, and you will continue to have access to all your benefits. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions or concerns. Thank you for your continued loyalty and commitment to our mission.
