Examples of Activities for Each Pillar

This list of potential activities for each pillar is provided to help you begin meeting the pillar requirements. While comprehensive, it is not exhaustive.

Teaching, Coaching, Mentoring, or Leadership

  • Teaching in didactic, clinical, or lecture-based settings for medical students, residents, fellows-in-training, allied health professionals, or interdisciplinary audiences (e.g., grand rounds, morbidity-mortality reports).
  • Program faculty for a lectureship or workshop at an 바카라 사리트 meeting, state, or regional conference, or national or international conference
  • Lectureship or other activities for the lay public with the primary focus being education on a medical topic.
  • Volunteer on a board or committee for a regional, state, or national medical society or organization, hospital board or committee, or other healthcare nonprofit organization

Practice Improvement or Scholarly Activities

  • Author an abstract or poster (case report, research, quality improvement, or high-value care categories)
  • Reviewer for Annals of Internal Medicine, Annals of Internal Medicine: Clinical Cases, or 바카라 사리트 Journal Club®
  • Author a letter or article published in a peer-reviewed journal
  • Reviewer for MKSAP®
  • Serve as a clinical relevance rater for 바카라 사리트 Journal Club or 바카라 사리트 JournalWise
  • Author an article (non-peer reviewed or otherwise) or book chapter
  • Participation in a Quality Improvement Program
  • Academic Appointments (e.g. Assistant or Associate Professor)
  • Participation in ABIM’s Maintenance of Certification program (or the ABPN’s MOC for Neurologists)

Community Engagement and Service

  • Create, organize, and/or take part in community healthcare, education, or awareness initiatives
  • Volunteer on a board or committee for a nonprofit with a community service mission 
  • Participate in 바카라 사리트 chapter volunteer activity
  • Participate in non-medical community volunteer work (e.g. Scout troop leader or back to school drive)
  • Volunteer on a board or committee for a nonprofit with a community service mission

Continuing Medical Education

  • Complete CME activities using 바카라 사리트’s Online Learning Center
  • Engage in longitudinal learning using MKSAP
  • Attend 바카라 사리트 chapter meetings/webinars
  • Attend 바카라 사리트 national meeting/webinars
